scent of Africa: Your Luxurious Side!

It was a night of glitz, glamour, scrumptious hors d’oeuvres and sparkling champagne at the launch of the newest luxury fragrance #ScentOfAfrica by Ghandour Cosmetics.

The unveiling of the fragrance under the theme ‘Who I Am Is Where I Am From’ took place within the garden enclave of the ritzy Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City Accra.

Celebrities such as John Dumelo and Omotola Jolade Eikeinde were spotted amongst invited guests who sipped sparkling champagne beneath the lawn trees.

The brand ambassadors; retired professional footballer Marseille Desailly & international model Oluchi Orlandi were the perfect fit of showing how the two worlds can come together to show who they are and where they are from; Africa!

MC for the evening, Joselyn Dumas gave a brief history about the Ghandour brothers who brought their dream of having a beauty business to West Africa.

She soon invited guests to turn to their left for the unveiling which took place near the gigantic glass water wall by the lawn.

The slow drone of music brought on performances by traditional Ghanaian dancers. The tempo soon increased as gumboot performers came next with their own unique style of performance.  Ribbon and light dancers were splendid during their act. The whole troupe then joined together to pull a cart laden with giant plastic replicas of the African continent. These were engraved with the label #ScentofAfrica.

The brand ambassadors shared how exciting this fragrance was and how much they looked forward to sharing what it had to offer.

Oluchi looked resplendent as always in a white Grecian dress as she interacted with guests and the press.

Marseille Desailly looking dapper as well spent a great amount of time sharing his experience with the fragrance.

Hostesses at the event ensured that guests experienced the fragrance as they handed out perfume testing strips. Captured around a mini-replica of the African continent, the perfume is available for the bold and confident man going places and today’s woman who is confident in her elegance and strength.

The fragrance which was conceptualised in Ghana and produced in France, will be released first to high end West African retailers to be followed by other countries in Africa, Europe and North America.

Scent of Africa is very different from anything we have produced before at Ghandour. We wanted to introduce to the world a product that is truly reflective of the richness and splendor of Africa.
