Rachel Dolezal: “Race is a social construct”

Back in 2015, Rachel Dolezal was under fire after failing to answer a reporter who had questioned her racial background.

The former head of Spokane NAACP had her identity under scrutiny after her estranged caucasian parents had told various media network that their daughter is white woman passing herself off as a black woman. Shortly after, Dolezal lost her job, and it all went downhill.

Now, the self-identified black woman is back, and she’s back in full force – with even more outrageous claims on identity and race. Dolezal says, she doesn’t identify as an African American but as black.

In a bid to “set the record straight”, Dolezal is publishing a memoir,”In Full Color: Finding My Place in a Black And White World,” which will provide some context about how a challenging upbringing shaped her search for identity as a Black or trans-Black woman.
