Spotlight on African Women In Science Mitigating the Effects of Climate Change: Dr Eleni Abraham Yitbarek

Dr Yitbarek’s study investigated the impacts of crop diversification including cereals and cash crops diversification on farming household’s food and nutrition security. This study placed special emphasis on Ethiopia, Nigeria and Uganda, where the levels of crop diversification are generally low, and incidences of food insecurity and nutrition deficiency are high. Yitbarek’s study is now being applied to redress malnutrition and enhance food security in Africa.
