Mareme Mbaye Ndiaye – Cameron

Marème Mbaye Ndiaye is a respected pan-African banking leader with over two decades of experience spanning corporate banking, strategy and regional financial leadership. She currently serves as Regional Director for Central and Eastern Africa at Société Générale, where she oversees the group’s operations across multiple markets and contributes to the strategic direction of its Africa, Mediterranean and Overseas division.
Prior to her regional appointment, Ndiaye served as Chief Executive Officer of Société Générale Cameroun, becoming the first woman to lead the bank’s Cameroonian subsidiary. During her tenure, she strengthened the bank’s corporate and institutional banking footprint and reinforced its position within a competitive regional market.
Before joining Société Générale, Ndiaye built an extensive career at Ecobank Group, where she held several senior leadership roles across the continent. She served as Managing Director of Ecobank Gambia and Managing Director of Ecobank Rwanda, and later as Chief of Staff to the Group CEO of Ecobank Transnational Incorporated, where she played a key role in group-wide strategy execution and operational alignment.
Ndiaye holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Master’s degree in Management and Financial Economics from HEC Montréal in Canada. Known for her strong cross-border leadership and strategic insight, she has built a reputation for driving growth, strengthening institutional performance and navigating complex, multi-market banking environments.
